The 2013 Black Diamond Poker Open (BDPO) reached record levels with $1,200,000 in prize money and, this, 3rd year of the event is set to see prize money more than double with $3,000,000 up for grabs. Qualifying starts on Tuesday, 9th February.
Why has the BDPO been so popular? Online tournaments are seen by many casual poker players as the domain of the seasoned pro but the BDPO is different. The BDPO is designed specifically with new players in mind but also includes a Series for the more advanced as well. The Black Diamond Poker Open is unique in its ability to give ALL types of player the taste of tournament play but, as ever with Bodog, without the threat of their own hand stats being used against them.
Bodog Poker is the first online poker room made in Asia for the Asian market and its anonymous tables guarantee that recreational players enjoy a better experience than on other sites whose players can use data-mining sites to buy information to give them the edge over those just playing for fun.

- The Main Event will have a guaranteed prize pool of $50,000 with a buy-in of $50 + $5.

- Weeknight schedule has a regular No Limit Hold’em event at 8pm, a Non-No Limit Hold’em event at 9pm and a Turbo NL event at 10pm.
- We will host 5 or 6 events each day on weekends.
- The reason it does not run from Saturday, February 15th to Sunday, March 9th is because we want to avoid hosting events on US holidays (Feb 17th-Presidents Day, and we also don’t want to run events on Sunday, March 16th – eve of St-Paddy’s Day).

- The $100K Guaranteed will not run for the 4 Sundays during the Championship Series since they we will raise the guarantee to $150K and have the same buy-in of $150 + $12 and satellite structure.
