Live dealer casino specialists Evolution Gaming have added Malta-licensed, Scandinavia-based operator Vera&John to its roster of online gambling clients. The two-year deal will see Evolution add its live roulette, blackjack, casino hold’em and baccarat products to the VeraJohn.com and Vera888.com sites under the ‘Casino Paris’ banner. The deal will also expand Vera&John’s mobile product via the addition of Evolution’s live roulette option. Vera&John director Nicolas Lund humble-bragged that the extra options would give his sites “a further advantage over local competitors.”
Not to be outdone, online gambling software supplier Playtech is enabling its licensees to offer live dealer casino services to punters using the language and casino preferences of the individual punter’s choosing, regardless of which site they gamble with or the country in which the site is located. The ‘dual network’ feature appears primarily intended to capitalize on the increased mobility of Asian gamblers, many of whom would rather crawl nine miles over broken glass and wet dogcrap than place a wager with a random number generator-based gambling site.
The dual network will offer Playtech’s full suite of live dealer casino products, allowing gamblers to customize their preferences and thus obtain a “tailored cultural experience” across all the markets in which Playtech-licensed sites operate. Playtech VP of operations Shimon Akad expects the feature will prove popular with both operators and players, whether the latter be Asians living in the UK or westerners currently residing in China, Malaysia or any of the other grey/black market countries in which Playtech licenses its services.
Playtech has taken other steps to offer players a seamless online experience, including the ability to transfer balances from fixed-odds betting terminals (FOBTs) in UK betting shops to their online accounts so they can continue gambling on the walk home via their mobile device. Coral became the first Playtech licensee to offer this feature in July.
