Coin Gaming launch Bitcoin sportsbook Sportsbet.io in time for Euro 2016

sportsbet-io-bitcoin-sportsbookBitcoin-focused online gambling technology suppliers Coin Gaming have launched a new sportsbook to capitalize on the Euro 2016 football frenzy.

Coin Gaming, the folks behind the Bitcasino.io brand, began offering a Bitcoin-powered B2B sportsbook product last summer. This week, they announced the launch of their own Bitcoin sports betting site, Sportsbet.io, along with a companion mobile product.

The Curacao-licensed Sportsbet.io is vowing to offer over 350k pre-match events per year, with a peak of 70k events during prime months, such as this one, which sees the quadrennial UEFA championship kick off next Friday (10).

Sportsbet.io is hoping to capitalize on the Euro 2016 betting bonanza by betting that punters will see the advantage in being able to claim their winnings more or less instantly. Coin Gaming spokesperson Joe Jordan says Sportsbet.io plans to replicate the average 2.5-minute withdrawal time that Bitcasino.io customers have come to expect.

As a further sweetener, Sportsbet.io is running a contest in which some lucky customers will win tickets to Euro 2016 matches, including the final in St-Denis, France on July 10.

Sportsbet.io players can choose to wager via their own Bitcoins, or exchange them for local currency on the site via its broker integration with Cubits and Coinify. The site also offers high-value customers a customized VIP program, complete with “their own hostess, to provide a tailored service that gives players the level of attention they deserve.”

Speaking of attention, it will be worth seeing whether the new site’s name draws any flak from online gambling giant Paddy Power Betfair, given the possibility of confusion with that company’s Australian online betting division Sportsbet.
