Attending the ICE show next week it might be such that you manage to see a couple of midgets facing off in an unusual underground strip bar should you make it out until five in the morning. Something which many in the gambling industry won’t be expecting is for there to be a number of industry CEOs to be joining a debate at the gaming conference.
This year will see ICE put on the inaugural “ICE CEO Debate.” It will take place on Tuesday 25 January, the first day of the conference and is organized in association with the world renowned International Association of Gaming Advisers (IAGA).
Amongst the who’s who of industry leaders will be Richard Haddrill, CEO Bally Technologies, Patti Hart, CEO IGT, Jim Ryan, CEO, PartyGaming, and Constantinos Antonopoulos, CEO Intralot.
Kate Chambers, Show Director for ICE Totally Gaming, commented: “We’ve always said that what takes place on the show floor is only part of the ICE story. The ICE CEO Debate and events such as the Gaming Regulators luncheon are really significant gatherings which impact the future direction of the sectors that ICE serves.
“We’ve worked extremely closely with IAGA, whose President Gavin Issacs has been instrumental in bringing the ICE CEO Debate to fruition. I’m pleased to say that ICE is now part of IAGA’s calendar of international events and we look forward to welcoming their many members to ICE Totally Gaming in London.”
Whilst we can’t promise that it will top the midget wrestling from the night before, it will be a chance to see a number of the industry’s finest in one place debating the issues that matter.
