While states like Virginia and North Carolina hem and haw over what to do with so-called internet sweepstakes parlors, the Lone Star State prefers to act first and deliberate later. Police in Corpus Christi have arrested one internet cafe operator and seized two truckloads of computers and $10G in cash. The cops haven’t yet decided what to do with the five cafe patrons caught up in the police dragnet, but given the general harshness of Texan justice, they’ll probably be forced to listen to Jessica Simpson sing or something.
