The Betting on Football conference is coming back for its sixth year. It’s once again at Stamford Bridge, running from March 19 to 22, and this year will broaden their scope to talk about not just football and gambling, but many other topics that are relevant to the industry.
Six conference tracks are offered this year, each offering a different angle on the industry, and providing attendees with insights on how to go forward.
The Leadership & Vision track will really look hard at some of the obstacles present in a saturated market. Stagnation, rampant advertising, retail betting, and challenges for new operators will be discussed by a CEO panel.
Those looking to expand their business into emerging markets might be more interested in the Global Markets track. India, Sweden, and the golden goose of America are all opening up to sports betting, and speakers will talk about the opportunities and challenges that each country offers. Well established markets like Italy, Spain, and the changing reality of a post-Brexit UK will also be discussed.
As regulators continue to evolve and pop up in new markets, The Science of Compliance track will offer attendees insights into how to deal with problem gambling, sporting integrity, dealing with fraud, and payment issues.
Two tracks will take slightly different looks at the emerging technology and products of gambling. The Betting on Innovation and Products in Focus tracks will look at the latest technologies, emerging action like esports and virtual sports, omni-channel strategies and communications that operators can use to bring in new customers.
Finally, the Betting on Marketing track brings in a super affiliate panel of CEOs to talk about their role in the industry, the challenges of marketing, and tactics to keep the public’s attention through the fine touches of loyalty, personalization and social presence.
