In its seeming quest to sign betting partnerships with every football club except that ‘phantom’ Portuguese squad, the Isle of Man-licensed 666Bet has inked a new platinum partnership with Leicester City FC. The one-year deal covers the upcoming 2014/15 campaign and will see 666Bet serve as the Foxes’ official betting partner and exclusive European betting partner. 666Bet signage will feature prominently at King Power Stadium and on the club’s official website. The deal follows similar pacts 666Bet has inked with fellow Premier Leaguers West Bromwich Albion and League One team Leyton Orient.
Not to be outdone, Alderney-licensed bookie Marathonbet recently added to its own collection of Premier League scalps by inking a two-year betting partnership with Tottenham Hotspur. The deal will see Marathonbet’s logo plastered all over the club’s White Hart Lane venue and its official website. Marathonbet will also enjoy providing betting services at the stadium. Marathonbet previously inked deals with West Ham United, the now relegated Fulham and Scottish stars Hibernian.
Elsewhere, UK-listed bookies William Hill have inked an official betting partnership of indeterminate length with Southampton FC. The Saints have agreed to slap Hills’ logo all over St. Mary’s Stadium and the club’s official website.
Finally, Boylesports is going to the dogs by boosting its sponsorship of the Irish Greyhound Derby. Boylesports has allocated greyhounds to each of Dublin’s 44 GAA clubs, with the winner to pocket a €5k first prize awarded on Sept. 13, the final night of the Derby. Boylesports PR man Liam Glynn said the bookie had enjoyed a “massive response” from the clubs via its Dublin GAA Nominators Irish Derby Draw and wished each club “the very best of luck.”
