The MPN Poker Tour Adds Dublin to its Schedule

The Microgaming Poker Network Poker Tour has added a new stop in Dublin, Ireland, in partnership with Gaming Association.

The MPN Poker Tour Adds Dublin to its ScheduleWhatever the European Poker Tour (EPT) can do, the Microgaming Poker Network Poker Tour (MPNPT) can do better.

Ok…perhaps I am stretching things a tad too far. But the MPNPT has taken a leaf out of the competition by including a stop in the Irish capital of Dublin.

The EPT recently announced plans to visit Dublin, as part of their Season 12 roster, and the MPNPT will be doing likewise for only their fifth ever live tour stop.

The MPNPT will collaborate with Gaming Association, a coalition of Irish poker promoters, headed by one of their greatest players Fintan Gavin. The former United Kingdom & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) Main Event winner, and EPT Main Event runner-up said, “Ireland is poker & Dublin is Texas Hold’em so it’s my privilege to assist in the promotion of the most exciting poker festival to hit this region in years”’.

The festival will operate Sep 2-6, 2015, and the headline acts are as follows:

• Sep 2 – €500 MPNPT Irish Poker Cup (€250,000 Guaranteed)

• Sep 2 – €225 Irish Omaha Cup (€10,000 Guaranteed)

• Sep 5 – €150 Dublin Poker Cup

• Sep 6 – €120 Monster Stack (€10,000 Guaranteed)

Bewley’s Hotel will host the 15-event festival and online satellites will begin in late May. Each package will be worth €1,500, and includes entry into the Irish Poker Cup, Monster Stack, accommodation for four nights, and a little help with travel expenses.

“As a former Dublin resident, I know that Irish players love the game just as much as we do, and I’m excited to see the MPN Poker Tour visit the capital for the first time,” said Alex Scott, Head of Poker at Microgaming. “With a prize pool as big as the spike, more action than a night in Coppers, and craic as mighty as the beer is pricey, what more could you ask for in a weekend away?”

The next event on the MPNPT will take place in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi 28-31 May, and it includes a $550 Main Event carrying a $400,000 guarantee.
