Mobile gambling specialists Probability are enjoying a boom in business thanks to integration with the world’s largest social network. Analysts are running out of superlatives to describe the masterstroke that saw Probability allow players to use their Facebook credentials to play at the casino. Ivor Jones from Numis said: “This simplicity has been a significant factor behind the rapid growth of many social games within Facebook.” Jones added that the company is in the early stages of “a revenue J-curve” and stated: “It is increasingly apparent that the digital economy is turning mobile. Probability is in the sweet spot of that transition.” The Proactiveinvestors article also stated Ladbrokes will be the next company to take Probability’s games.
Unibet achieved its best ever sports betting gross win margin to date in its Q1 2012 results released earlier today. The figure, after free bets had been deducted, was 8.2 percent and was in addition to gross winning revenue for the entire firm of £51.1 million – up 36 percent compared with the year before. The thanks for this is being given to the company’s Kambi Sports Solutions product that has given the company expansion as far afield as Asia. Newly re-regulated markets are another cash cow for the firm with CEO Henrik Tjarnstrom explaining: “Unibet is at undergoing a rapid transformation as more than 15 per cent of the gross winnings revenue in the quarter came from re-regulated markets. This development will continue through the year as Australia and Bet24 are fully included and as our recent licence in Belgium is activated.” In the current quarter, April saw “strong organic growth” compared with the previous year.
