Playtech announce slot deal with Platinum Studios; JPM International release Al Murray sequel

playtechGaming software designer and developer Playtech has announced today the signing of a licensing agreement with comics-to-film firm Platinum Studios. The deal will see Playtech develop a slot game based on the best-selling Cowboys & Aliens graphic novel, with the potential for it to adopt many more of Platinum Studios’ international library of 5,000 comic book characters for online games.

Playtech has said the full launch of the Cowboys & Aliens slot will be expected at multiple sites in numerous global markets over the summer.

This comic book fits in well with our existing branded games portfolio since it is instantly recognisable due to the great success of the movie and it also lends itself to visually impressive games. al murray sequalAfter celebrating the performance of its first licensed game under the Al Murray: The Pub Landlord brand not so long ago – JPM International has now announced the release of the sequel: Al Murray’s: All Hail To the Ale.

In a press release, the company state the sequel has been developed for the UK category B4 market, exhibiting “the instant player appeal and cheeky humour that contributed to the success of its predecessor”.
