They followed up last month’s agreement with Arsenal by signing a two-year deal with Maltese champions Valletta. The deal will see Betsson’s branding carried on the team’s home and away jersey. There is also the news that the Swedish firm has had to pay the first additional installment of €15m after Betsafe met certain targets. As part of the deal, finalized back in June, they could also be subject to an additional €12.5m charge if the firm continues its successes.

It will only affect the dot.com site and has been brought on by regulatory changes in Spain and Greece. A spokesman confirmed to eGaming Review that, “The Italian operations will remain unaffected. Eurobet.it is separate and fully licensed in Italy, where we also have a high-street presence.”
