Kansspelautoriteit chairman René Jansen said the regulator is aiming for a July 1, 2020, target for the country’s new Remote Gambling Act to take effect. Once the Act becomes official and the Ministry of Justice and Security finishes ironing out the details of online gambling regulations, they will start accepting online license applications. These developments will set back the actual launch of Dutch-licensed online gambling operators to January 1, 2021. For now, the KSA has urged operators to fill out a form stating their intention to apply for a new online license.
