ESPN’s new deal with the UFC that kicked in this year has been a boon for bettors because it seems there’s now an interesting card nearly every weekend. There’s another UFC Fight Night event this Saturday headlined by a welterweight bout between Darren Till and Jorge Masvidal from the O2 Arena in London. It can be seen in the USA on ESPN+.

Till (17-1-1) is the -260 favorite and will have home Octagon advantage, so to speak, as “the Gorilla” is from Liverpool in England. Till fought for the welterweight title at UFC 228 last September against champion Tyron Woodley and suffered his first loss. Woodley knocked Till down with a big hit and then pounced, with Till tapping out in the second round via a Woodley choke.
Woodley has since lost the belt to Kamaru Usman, meaning Till probably has a longer wait for another title shot even should he win here. The 26-year-old is ranked No. 3 in the division behind Woodley and Colby Covington. A total of 10 of Till’s 17 wins have come via KO or TKO. He was a very slight underdog against Woodley.
Masvidal (32-13) is a 34-year-old American ranked 11th in the division priced at +200. He has been an underdog in each of his past three fights, going off at +170 last time out at UFC 217 in November 2017 to Stephen Thompson, losing by unanimous decision. It should be noted that Thompson lost to Till in May 2018 by unanimous decision. The majority of Masvidal’s wins (53 percent) are via decision, while the vast majority of his losses (77 percent) are the same way.
From the lightweight division, Dominick Reyes is a -270 favorite against Volkan Oezdemir (+210). The 29-year-old Reyes (10-0) is a rising star in the division and ranked No. 8; pound-for-pound king Jon Jones is the champion. Last time out, Reyes was a -175 favorite when he beat Ovince St. Preux by unanimous decision at UFC 229 in October 2018. It was only Reyes’ fourth fight under the UFC umbrella.
Oezdemir, ranked No. 6, was a -150 favorite in his last fight at UFC Fight Night 138 but lost to Anthony Smith by third-round submission (rear-naked choke). That was the second loss in a row for the 29-year-old Swiss, falling to current heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier at UFC 220 by second-round TKO.
