Playtech joins the Gaming Standards Association (GSA) as their first platinum member from the online gaming world in a bid to improve standards as part of the GSA’s Online Gaming Committee.
Playtech has joined the GSA as a platinum member in a role that will see the software developer starting getting jiggy with it in matters of global gaming standards as part of GSA’s Online Gaming Committee.
The arrangement sees Playtech become the first member whose business is primarily based in the online gaming space, and it’s felt their vast experience in online poker, casino games, bingo, and other online gambling games will bring tremendous value to the Online Gaming Committee.
A delighted Shay Segev, Playtech COO, commented: “Playtech brings proven experience to GSA and we are very excited to join GSA as a Platinum member. We strongly believe our extensive industry experience will enable us to contribute tremendously to GSA’s gaming standards development for the benefit of the entire industry. The addition to GSA will also allow us to enhance our open platform functionality and ensure unification across providers’ offerings that will enable endless possibilities in terms of content integration. Such amalgamation will simplify both operators and regulators’ needs industry wide.”
The GSA has a mission to help develop and manage technical standards for the gaming community, and to help create standards that bring an improvement in the gaming sector. They believe Playtech have the right credentials to add further value to these aims.
The news comes just weeks after the GSA revealed nine new members in the silver and bronze categories.
They were:
Silver Members
- Appolonia, France
- DRGT Systems GmbH, Austria
- Inspired Gaming Group, London
- Maxgaming, Australia
- Ortiz Machine Company, LLC, Spain
- RAY, Finals
Bronze Members
- China Lottery Online Co. Ltd., China
- Gamblit Gamin, LLC., U.S
- Jumbo Technology Co. Ltd., Taiwan
GSA President Peter DeRaedt commented: “Playtech joining the association will be driving force supporting our strategic plan and ensuring the association’s continued relevance within the industry. As a Platinum member, and with their vast experience and knowledge in the interactive gaming market, Playtech will take a leadership role in our Online Gaming Committee (OGC). The OGC is just beginning its efforts to create online gaming standards, and GSA encourages like-minded businesses to join us so that they, too, can provide direct input into the future of online gaming.”
