Full Tilt Poker awarded Isle of Man licence; FTOPS ready for launch; Lederer returns to felt

full tilt poker logoFull Tilt Poker has officially confirmed that it has been awarded a licence by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission. The statement, delivered via their dot.com site, also confirmed that funds owed to customers outside the US would be fulfilled by November 6. As reported on a number of occasions the reinstatement of US player funds will be done by the US government. The firm also published a list of frequently asked questions that it will be continually updating in the weeks up until the site opens on November 6.

Full Tilt Online Poker Series, or FTOPS, will return from December 2-16. The firm’s new poker room manager, Shyam Markus, announced the news of the 2+2 poker forum by answering the question “When is the next FTOPS?” with “December 2nd – 16th (Really!)”. The next version of FTOPS XXI and the prize fund for the winner is likely to be just a little way south of $1million.

Talking of FTP, we couldn’t but notice rumors that some of the old boys have got together at the Bellagio for a flutter on the felts – namely Howard Lederer and Phil Ivey. A picture was posted to Instagram by user abeghazal and shows what looks like Lederer sitting at a seat in what is identified by 2+2 poster ig_rounder as ‘Bobby’s room’. The same forum poster suggest the other three players at Lederer’s table are “Ivey, Seed, and Elezra” and it would fit with suggestions in the Lederer Files that Howard was preparing to return to the felt.
