Playtech have released the first mobile bingo app offering on their Virtue Fusion network. The Android app means that players can now access their online accounts and everything that comes with them. William Hill Bingo is one of the first to take advantage of the new app, which is built using the same Virtue Fusion software their main site is based on and includes many of the features the desktop site offers. There are a number of different rooms to play in with the chat facility and mini games also available on mobile. Jennie Prest, spokesperson for William Hill, said: “It was important to us to bring the same Bingo experience from the desktop over to the mobile and our new app now gives the William Hill Bingo community all the same features they love, wherever and however they choose to play.”
It also allows users to play a number of variants including the popular Deal or No Deal bingo game with Rhys Owen, head of bingo at Playtech adding: “This is a significant step for Playtech in terms of cementing our position as the leading supplier of bingo software in the industry, as well as offering licensees the largest networked bingo and jackpot liquidity through a new and thriving channel
“We’ve seen the trends in the sportsbook and casino arenas and its only logical that we develop a mobile offering which enables our partners to attract a new type of player as well as giving our licensees an additional medium through which to engage with their players.”
An iOS version of the app is now in development and bingo finally coming to the mobile party can only mean one thing – more OAPs trying to use smart phones!
