International Game Technology (IGT) has announced it was honoured with the Operational Excellence Award as part of the 2012 Manufacturing Leadership 100 Awards program with the Manufacturing Executive organisation.
In case you didn’t know, the ML 100 Awards honour top manufacturing organisations worldwide for their achievements in transformational business projects and innovation.
IGT vice president of manufacturing operations, Matthew LaBranch, said: “This award is a testament to what a true team effort can deliver. The integration of hard work and dedication by IGT’s Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams has allowed IGT to be more flexible and responsive to our global customers’ needs.”
IGT will be honored on May 2, 2012 during the Manufacturing Leadership Summit in Palm Beach, Fla. IGT also revealed in a press release today that it is in the running for the Manufacturing Executive organisation’s High Achiever Award, the 2012 Manufacturer of the Year Award and the 2012 Project of the Year Award. In a press release the company said the new HTML5 web application delivers an enhanced mobile experience to Sporting Index’s sports spread betting customers. Its key features include faster live prices, intuitive navigation and improved layout, enabling quicker access to bet placement.
The app is optimised for multiple devices, with specific versions for iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry devices.
