According to a statement released by the company, Caliente has nearly 100 years of experience in the gaming industry and currently operates over 90 land-based venues, including modern casinos and bingo halls, VLTs, sports betting, live greyhound racing and simulcast horse racing across Mexico, Central and South America.

Its agreement with Playtech marks a significant venture into online gaming for Caliente.

Chief Executive Officer of Playtech, Mor Weizer, said: “Our work with Caliente is in line with Playtech’s strategy of entering new regulated markets and diversifies the Company’s geographic footprint beyond its European and Asian marketplaces. We are very excited about this project and committed to making it a great success.”

 

Caesars Palace has announced the schedule for the second annual Hoops and Hold’em Poker Series in conjunction with the NCAA Tournament.

Poker players of all skill levels will be joining the daily events scheduled 14 March – 2 April in the casino in Las Vegas to watch the games on more than 20 large-screen TVs.

Director of poker operations at Caesars Palace and Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, Andy Rich, said: “We are excited to bring back the Hoops and Hold’em Poker Series to guests and locals,” said. “This is the most exciting time of the year for college basketball, where any team has a shot at winning it all. Poker is also a game where anyone with a chip and a chair is a threat to take home the title. This is the ultimate place for sports fans and poker fans to come together to compete and show their skills.”

Players who are alcoholics and winos will be pleased to hear an “extensive menu and dedicated cocktail service” will be served up allowing players to have food and beverage delivered directly to the tables during play.
