Gaming machine designers, developers and manufacturers – International Game Technology (IGT) – today unveiled what it calls “the next revolution in the gaming industry” with the IGT Cloud solution. Ooh…ahh.
The company revealed the initiative at the Company’s Investor Conference in New York, and is a move towards empowering operators to provide seamless gaming experiences across land-based, mobile and online devices.
IGT chief technology officer, Chris Satchell, said: “IGT is leading the cloud computing transformation in gaming by offering operators innovative solutions to optimize their operations and casino floors,”. “Utilizing the IGT Cloud will let casino operators focus on what is important to them: players, games and performance.”
But what exactly does this mean? In a press release the company said: “These initial private, secure IGT Cloud services will enable casinos to manage game content using IGT Floor Manager to access the largest game library in the industry.” Sounds pretty impressive to us!
