Whether it’s their IPO, which has recently showed signs of slowing, or plans to enter into the television app market, Betfair love a column inch or 100. The latest morsel that they’ve decided to release will be music to the ears of many a sports fan across their customer base.

The sportsman media group, the Munich-based sports right and sport marketing agency, has announced that its live streaming product is to be used by the leading online betting exchange. It means that Spain’s La Liga, Germany’s Bundesliga, Volleyball and Handball Champions Leagues, and further top events in world sport will be available to Betfair customers.

“The sportsman’s streaming package perfectly complements our existing video streams with additional top sporting events. We are now able to offer video streaming for almost every sport,” said Lee Cowles, UK Director at Betfair.

When you consider renewing your Sky subscription, just remember that you can get all this free and more on the Betfair website (or if you’re feeling proper nawty, you could use illegal streaming sites).
