Ladbrokes announces new member a day early

ladbrokes-new-appointmentYesterday eGR magazine revealed exclusively that Ladbrokes would be performing their own parliament style reshuffle with many of the top dogs in the company leaving. They’ve pre-empted tomorrow’s big day with an announcement concerning a new Director of Customer Experience. Feels a bit like the play-in game in the NCAA tournament if you ask me.

As of December 1st, Stephen Vowles will enter the role specified above reporting to CEO of the Lads Richard Glynn. Vowles comes with plenty of marketing experience having held directorships at the likes of Sainsburys and Thomas Cook.

Stephen Vowles commented “I am looking forward to returning to the UK into the new and exciting role with Ladbrokes. It will be great to apply my knowledge and expertise in a new sector for me in what is a very competitive market”.

The announcement comes ahead of tomorrow’s reshuffle, but CEO Glynn was still happy to have an accomplished man on board.

“I am delighted that after an extensive international search we have appointed Steven. He brings a rare combination of online and offline expertise, value driven brand and product differentiation, consumer marketing, consumer analytics and high performance loyalty programmes. Stevens international expertise will further assist in ensuring that the Ladbrokes brand and product proposition is front of mind in a competitive market environment”, Glynn said.

The only thing worrying for Vowles is whether he’ll still be able to party with tomorrow’s new recruits or if he’s so crazy he’s only allowed his own party tonight. We shall see.
