Chelsea and Manchester Utd handed easy opening day fixtures

In the two-hour window there was available to cram in the banking, the shopping and the day’s work before today’s three-course menu of World Cup offerings, football withdrawal symptoms were temporarily abated by the release of next season’s Premier League fixtures. And there’s a whiff of fishiness about them if you ask me. Manchester United and Chelsea get first day gimmes as usual with respective home walkovers against the newly promoted Newcastle and West Brom, while poor old Arsenal and Fuham get saddled with away day nasties at Liverpool and Bolton.
