The Story
Five leading betting operators in the UK announced their plan to establish an independent committee that will determine how to manage the funds they had pooled for responsible gaming. Bet365, Flutter Entertainment, GVC Holdings, The Stars Group’s Sky Betting & Gaming, and William Hill picked known gambling sector critic Tory peer Lord Chadlington to chair this committee. Last month, these operators pledged a combined £60m per year by 2023 for their responsible gambling funds. The committee hopes to conduct consultations with all stakeholders and publish their recommendations by year's end.
