Malta-licensed Casumo Services has been handed a six-figure fine for offering online games of chance to Dutch customers despite failing to secure a government approval from the Dutch regulatory body. The Netherlands’ Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) imposed a €310k penalty on Casumo for offering online casino games to Dutch punters and allowing them to process financial transactions using iDeal, the Netherlands’ leading online payment processing service. This is the second major fine that Casumo faced in just four months, following its £5.85m penalty in the UK for failing to protect problem gamblers.
