The Story

If U.S. President Donald Trump really wants to win the Nobel Peace Prize, he might want to consider North Korea’s request: help them build their own integrated resort in exchange for concessions on their nuclear program.

The proposal was leaked ahead of Kim Jong-un and Trump’s meeting.

South Korea’s Donga Ilbo media outlet reported that Kim Yong Choi, a top aide to North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, went to the White House last Monday to sell the casino investment idea. The casino is proposed to be built in the Wonsan–Kalma coastal region and, if everything runs smoothly, will be finished by April 15, 2019, the birthday of Kim’s grandfather Kim Il-Sung.With Trump’s history of building casinos and persistent cajoling, maybe the North Korea may get its casino.
