The Story

After regaining her voting power, Elaine Wynn has proposed a reorganization in the Wynn Resorts board to “fully restore” the reputation of the casino company.

Wynn has outlined two plans to execute her vision.

The casino operator’s new single largest stakeholder told the board that the reorganization can be conducted in two ways:  first, by declassifying the board; and second, by allocating more seats in the board for new members so that “the newly elected directors would constitute a majority of the board.”

However, don’t think for a second that she is doing this to amass power in the company. Wynn has clarified that she doesn’t intend to nominate herself, or anyone closely associated with her, either personally or professionally.
