Digital disruption takes spotlight at upcoming Canadian Gaming Summit

In today’s world of fast-paced innovations, the importance of having a plan for monitoring and embracing emerging technologies cannot be stressed enough.

Digital disruption takes spotlight at upcoming Canadian Gaming SummitDefined as the change that occurs when new digital technologies affect the value proposition of existing goods and services, digital disruption has the capability to tear down and rebuild every product in every industry—even the iGaming industry, which is already ripe for innovation.

Today’s customers now live in a world of heightened expectations and a wide variety of options, and companies must give them what they want not just quickly, but also in a more emotion-rich way or they risk losing their business to companies that have already embraced the opportunities offered by digitalization.

At the upcoming Canadian Gaming Summit in Vancouver, Forrester Principal Analyst James McQuivey will outline the steps companies need to make to put the customer at the center of their processes.

In the 60-minute session called “Digital Disruption and the Future of Customer Experience Innovation,” McQuivey will explain why consumers no longer fear trying new products and experiences, how the smartest companies have used technology to deliver more value, more quickly and often more cheaply, and what we can learn from other industries about how digital disruption works and how to respond.

McQuivey will also discuss what mobile means in a world where customers expect to get what they want when they want it, and how to develop a customer-obsessed innovation process in an organization and be the leader capable of sustaining that process.

McQuivey’s keynote session will be held on June 20, 2017 (9am to 10:15am) in Ballroom C, Vancouver Convention Center.

The Un-casino, Casino

Aside from digital disruption, the Canadian Gaming Summit will also host a keynote session on the emergence of non-traditional and new forms of gaming in the modern casino.

The session will begin with a presentation by Robert Rippee, director of UNLV’s International Gaming Institute hospitality and e-sports innovation labs. Rippee will then host a panel of experts including Fifth Street Gaming chair Seth Schorr, Unikrn CEO Rahul Sood, and Hakkasan Group senior corporate marketing officer Tracee Nalewak, who will discuss current trends in the gaming world, specifically those focused on a younger demographic.

The session will be held on June 20, 2017 (2pm to 2:55pm) in Ballroom C, Vancouver Convention Center.
