Live tournament round up sees Kevin Killeen achieve victory at the United Kingdom & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) Main Event in Dublin, and the World Poker Tour (WPT) LAPC has reached the money.
Kevin Killeen managed to stave off the attentions of Joeri Zandvliet and Max Silver to ensure the UKIPT Dublin trophy stayed on the Emerald Isle after taking the first prize of €87,700.
It was an impressive performance by Killeen, because Zandvliet and Silver have some serious UKIPT history between the pair. In the 2011 Dublin event Silver finished fourth and the Dutchman walked away with the title. Back in 2010 it was Silver who took the Dublin title whilst Zandvliet was picking up his first UKIPT title in Manchester.
It was Silver who eventually ousted the two-time champion when the pair got it in for stacks after Zandvliet made a move holding [Kd] [7d]. Silver picked him off with pocket sevens and they held to send Zandvliet out in sixth place.
Silver would make it to heads-up where he would enjoy a 8.3m v 5m chip lead, but he would have to settle for second place in a thrilling encounter that ended after Silver four-bet jammed holding [Qs] [8s], and Killeen called holding [Kc] [Qc]. The board steered clear of either hand and the Irishman picked up the victory with king high.
The UKIPT now heads to Nottingham – and Dusk till Dawn (DTD) – where the £1,100 Main Event buy-in will carry a £1m guarantee.

The Money Bubble Bursts at the WPT LAPC
What better way to end a day of poker that to breach the money bubble, and that’s exactly what happened at the end of a tumultuous Day 3 at the WPT LAPC.
63 players are all now guaranteed at least $18,970 after Gordon Vayo got it in with pocket queens only to run into the pocket aces of Oliver Price to give him the loneliest of walks home.
The chip leader is the man who finished third in last year’s event, Jesse Yaginuma, who finished the day with 804,000 chips. There are several high profile names at the top of the charts including Jennifer Tilly (639,500) and Bryn Kenney (602,000).
Other notables still in the field include the WPT Ambassador Mike Sexton, WPT Champions Club members Joe Tehan, Ravi Raghavan, Matthew Waxman & Eugene Katchalov and Chris Moorman, Greg Merson and Jason Mercier.
Day 4 will see the field condense from 63 to 18 players.
