NRT Technology Corporation, a Toronto-based company that offers cash handling solutions and financial services for gaming establishments, lotteries, retailers and ATM operators, has filed an application to do online poker business in Nevada as a service provider.
The move by NRT Tech, which already operates a brand in Las Vegas, comes in the wake of the state’s newly regulated environment, one that has opened up a gate of business opportunities for a company that offers, among other things, a major manufacturer of ATM kiosks and related payment-processing equipment
According to Pokerfuse, with NRT Tech’s Nevada application, the list of companies that have applied in the state to do poker business has hit 32, 11 of which have applied as operators, 17 as manufacturers, and 24 as service providers. Some companies, including South Point Poker, made applications in multiple categories, thus accounting for the overlap in numbers.
A fourth category – Manufacturer of Associated Equipment – also received application from three companies: Aristocrat Technologies, WMS Industries, Inc. and SG Gaming Inc.
Meanwhile, William Hill, one of the companies that has received a gaming license in Nevada has officially released an enhanced version of its mobile betting applications in Nevada following similar moves by its competitors, most recently by Station Casinos. The app, which allows bettors to place sports bets on a number of mobile devices, was brought to life and released by Leroy’s Horse and Sports Place Inc. Incidentally, Leroy’s Horse and Sports Place Inc. is owned by American Wagering Inc., which, in turn, was acquired by William Hill last year for the sum of 11 million.
With the new William Hill mobile betting app, bettors need to open a William Hill sports book account with a minimum deposit of just $5. The app is free to download on iTunes and the Android Marketplace.
