After a highly successful, albeit hectic week in Macau for the 2012 APT Macau festival, the Asian Poker Tour is packing their bags and heading west later this month for the latest installment of the APT Asian Series.
From the bright lights of Macau to the pristine beaches of Mauritius, that’s just how the APT rolls.
The 2012 APT Asian Series Mauritius will take place from August 19 to 26 at the Ti Vegas Casino, Grand Bay, Mauritius. In line with the rest of their Asian Series schedule, the Asian Series Mauritius will carry a host of tournaments, side tournaments, and cash games, all of which are being held to bring their intense poker action to the island nation off the coast of the African continent.
For the week-long poker festival, the APT has lined up a number of affordable tournaments, highlighted by the Asian Series Mauritius Main Event, which will only carry a total buy-in of Euro 900. Other side tournaments scheduled include a Euro 2,200 High Rollers Event, a Euro 440 Freezeout tournament, and the Euro 3,300 Battle of the Nations Invitational Tournament.
On top of all that, a variety of other side events with buy-ins ranging from Euro 100 to Euro 330 are also being offered, giving poker players from Mauritius an opportunity to put their skills to the test against quality international players at an affordable price.
The 2012 Asian Series Mauritius will be the third of five installments for the year 2012. The first installment, the Asian Series Cebu, was held last February. That was followed by the Asian Series Goa last May. After Mauritius, the APT heads back to Southeast Asia for the Asian Series Manila this coming September before ending the year with the Asian Series Cambodia in November.
