Sweden is becoming a veritable hotbed of gambling activity. Since opening its borders to international gaming operators earlier this year, the industry has flourished, albeit with the occasional hiccup as regulators try to keep things in check. The latest to join the mix is Synot Games, a casino games developer out of Malta. It has announced that it has been awarded a license by Sweden’s gambling regulator, Spelinspektionen.

Synot CEO Ivan Kodaj adds, “We are happy to announce that we have successfully completed all legal requirements in order to enter this significant market and we can’t wait to introduce our games to Swedish players through existing and also new acclaimed operators.”

Synot is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority and is licensed to operate in the U.K., Italy, Spain, Portugal and Denmark. The addition of Sweden continues the company’s expansion efforts across the globe.

Shortly after announcing that it had received its Swedish license, Synot followed with another bit of news—it has now expanding into Montenegro. That move comes through a partnership it has with MaxBet, which will use Synot’s product’s in that country’s recently launched online gaming market. Synot and MaxBet already work together in Serbia, as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

MaxBet CEO Minja Bolesnikov said of the extended cooperation, “As one of the largest regional companies in the gaming industry in the Balkan region, MaxBet is very proud to expand its online offer in Montenegro. Besides expanding our land-based network, which is currently present in four countries, our priority is on increasing our online games offer on new markets. We consider Montenegro as an important market with great potential. As SYNOT prove themselves as a reliable partner, we are sure that their offer will boost our growth. According to our slogan, ‘Life is a game!’, MaxBet is always striving to present best offers and fresh excitements to our players.”

Kodaj stated of the deal, “We are happy to follow in the footsteps of our previous success with MaxBet, one of the very first operators we have launched our games with. We firmly believe this partnership will translate into great results also in Montenegro and our games will become players’ first choice.”
