NBA Eastern Conference Finals: Raptors even up East Finals against Cavs

NBA Eastern Conference Finals: Raptors even up East Finals against CavsThe Cleveland Cavaliers suffered back-to-back loss on Monday against the Toronto Raptors in Eastern Conference Finals.

Game 4 of the East Finals looked exactly like Game 3: Raptors are on home turf with Kyle Lowry scoring 35 points and leading the team to even the series at 105-99.

DeMar DeRozan had 32 points and DeMarre Carroll chipped in with 11 points. Bismack Biyombo added 6 points but pulled down 14 rebounds.

Toronto dominated three quarters and then thwarted a near-perfect quarter by Cleveland. Cleveland captured the lead in the third and fourth quarter, but Toronto still beat them.

Game 4 marked the Raptors’ most dramatic game of the post-season. The underrated team beating one of the favorite to win the NBA championship as they clawed their way back to tie up the NBA Eastern Conference finals. If Toronto’s two starting guards can combine for 67 more points in the next game they have a better chance to win it.

I must say I’m very impressed with the Raptors’ resiliency. I thought after they blew a 16-point halftime lead and Cleveland surged ahead in the 4th that Toronto would fold, but they didn’t.

LeBron James led the Cavaliers with 29 points, nine rebounds and six assists, Kyrie Irving had 26 and Channing Frye scored nine of his 12 points in the fourth quarter. Kevin Love improved his tough luck, scoring 14 points and Tristan Thompson with 2 points.

Raptors aren’t going down without a fight. The series is at 2-2, not a sweep and will not be over in Game 5.

The next game is on Thursday back at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. This is a must win for the Cavs as Game six returns to Toronto, and we know how the Raptors are when they’re at home court. But if the Cavs don’t then they might be getting ready to watch the Finals.
