CalvinAyre.com’s Rebecca Liggero brings us the highlights from the 2016 iGB Affiliate Awards at the Electric Brixton in London.
A new venue, a brand new format, but still celebrating the best of the best in the iGaming affiliate industry—that’s what went down at the 2016 iGB Affiliate Awards. The theme for this year is momentum, focusing on what the affiliates have done to maintain and grow over the last 12 months.
Bonnier Gaming’s Marius Filip, who won his second Best Poker Affiliate Manager Award, told CalvinAyre.com, “I feel very happy, you know, to win this amazing award for the second time in a row, and I would like to say thank you to my colleagues and I would like to say thank you to my wife and to my son.”
Whichbingo.co.uk took home the award for Best Bingo website.
“This is really great. It’s a validation of all the hard work of not only me, but the rest of the team have done,” a Whichbingo.co.uk representative said.
Bet365 won in the Best Sports Betting Affiliate Program category, while Tipico is already planning a “massive party back home in Malta” after winning the award for Best Foreign Language Affiliate Program.
“This award means a lot to us really… It’s a going to be a blast down there,” a Tipico representative said.
“Affiliates play an intricate role in the success of our brands… I know that affiliates have really done a great job in helping build our partners’ brand, and so sponsoring this award is kind of our way of giving back to them and helping them have the party that they deserve,” award sponsor SpotOption said.
“What we saw here today is an industry that knows how to evolve and how to implement new factors inside and I think iGB did a really good job and I think that it’s important. This is the first time we actually saw it so packed with interesting people and I hope it will continue like that also in the next year,” said Tal Ron, of Tal Ron, Drihem & Co.
