Chris Moorman’s Book of Poker is getting a digital makeover the likes of which we have never seen before, and Christina Lindley joins the crew at Global Poker Link.
Last Christmas, when George Michael was giving everyone his heart, Chris Moorman was giving everyone some quality poker tips with the release of his first book Moorman’s Book of Poker.
Fast-forward 12-months and Moorman is once again filling your stocking with the publication of a video version. Let’s hope it fairs a little better than the video version of Fifty Shades of Grey.
The original book saw Moorman critique 80 hands played by the book’s co-author Byron Jacobs. The video version consists of eight different instalments, each including 10-hands from the book, meaning all 80-hands will be covered.
Moorman won’t be making an appearance in the video. Instead, the commentary will be undertaken by Jacobs. All the action will take place on a hand replayer.
You can pre-order a copy of the new format priced at $45, and I believe this is a first in poker book history. It’s a great idea, and an excellent Christmas present if you know a complete and utter fish like myself.
Christina Lindley Joins Global Poker Link
Christina Lindley is the latest star to join the innovative staking marketplace at Global Poker Link.
The Global Poker Link has been operating their auction style marketplace for a few months. Multiple World Championships of Online Poker (WCOOP) Main Event final tablist Dylan Hortin and former European Poker Tour (EPT) winner Rupert Elder have been the lead pros on the site. Lindley becomes the third pro to join the team and the first female.
The premise is pretty straightforward. The pros sell a percentage of their action on the Global Poker Link marketplace. As it’s an auction the players who bid the highest markup by the end of the auction wins the stake. What is revolutionary about this new approach is the winners of the auction get to sweat their horse live, via Twitch stream with full hole cards on display.
Until now, both Hortin and Elder have been selling packages for their online action, but Lindley introduces a new dynamic by selling pieces of her World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) action in Planet Hollywood.
The reigning champion of the WSOPC Planet Hollywood Main Event is John Eames, who coincidentally, stole my signed copy of Moorman’s Book of Poker.
