Clarion and Playtech welcome you to WrB Responsible Gambling & Reputation Management

Organizer Sadie Walters of Clarion and Sponsor Kira Mendelsohn, Playtech’s Social Responsibility and Compliance Attorney and also speaker at WrB Responsible Gaming, talk on why WrB Responsible Gaming & Reputation Management is important and what you can expect from attending.

The inaugural WrB Responsible Gaming & Reputation Management takes place on Thursday, September 10th at ALTITUDE in London.  Clarion’s WrB series have traditionally been focused on regulatory matters, but seeing as Responsible Gambling is so important these days, the focus of the event has shifted to satisfy industry needs.

The goal of WrB 2015 is to facilitate adoption of responsible gambling practices across the EU, to discuss self-exclusion standardization, review regulation updates and cover other CSR issues.

Lean more from Walters in our exclusive interview below.

Why did you decide to put on the first WrB Responsible Gaming & Reputation Management this year?

Responsible gambling is a huge topic in the industry at the moment, we wanted to bring together government and industry together to discuss how to drive the adoption of RG, whilst benchmarking best practice.

Can you list some of the key speakers featured at this inaugural event?

UK Gambling Commission

Swedish Gambling Commission

Gala Coral, Ladbrokes, Betfair

Why is it essential to put responsible gaming at the core of your business?

Responsible gambling is not only part of licence conditions, it is also critical for operators to be ethical and transparent for long-term stakeholder engagement.

What role does self-regulation play in the iGaming industry today?

If organisations fail to self-regulate, they will be over regulated through government intervention.

If there was one piece of feedback you could receive at the conclusion of this WrB event, what would it be & why?

That it created a legacy and encouraged a multi stakeholder dialogue that improves responsible gambling standards across Europe – or course creating shared value for all.
