Betfair promote odds via Snapchat; BetConstruct boost Golden Palace bets

betfair-snapchat-betconstruct-golden-palaceExchange betting specialists Betfair have teamed with photo messaging app Snapchat to offer exclusive ‘enhanced’ odds on this weekend’s Premier League football matches. In what Betfair describes as an industry first, the company is encouraging its social media acolytes to also follow the company’s ‘Betfairofficial’ Snapchat profile in order to receive exclusive offers, similar to the approach Betfair has taken with its popular Twitter account.

Users will receive a self-destructing image touting odds on this Saturday’s Chelsea and Manchester United matches offering better odds than can be found in Betfair’s fixed-odds sportsbook. However, the offer will be limited to the first 500 customers who follow the unique URL displayed in the photo and all wagers at this enhanced price will be capped at £10. Betfair brand director Mark Ody claimed to be “hugely excited” about the tie-up with Snapchat, which Ody believes holds “huge potential for us as a business.”

GOLDEN PALACE BOOSTS BELGIAN BETTING
Gambling operator Golden Palace Group, which was the first company to be issued an B+ online license in Belgium’s regulated market in April 2012, has broadened its horizons courtesy of online betting platform provider BetConstruct. GoldenPalace.be marketing and business manager Frédéric François said the upgrade was necessary if his company wanted to prepare to handle Belgium’s “football-mad betting public” ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which is now a mere five months away.

In figuring out who would help them move beyond their casino and poker roots, François said Golden Palace had undertaken a lengthy selection process but ultimately chose BetConstruct for its live-betting strength. BetConstruct, which serves over 40 land-based and online partners in Europe and Asia, offers an online and mobile platform covering 14k live matches and 50+ sports each month, along with backend, affiliate and agent systems plus marketing and risk management tools. BetConstruct CEO Suren Khachatryan said his company’s “highly customizable and scalable offering” would help Golden Palace differentiate themselves from the Belgian sports betting herd.
