UK bookie Betfred is taking its recent Tote acquisition into uncharted waters with the addition of TotelFootball’s fantasy football betting product. The deal marks the first time the Tote has added third-party pool betting product, and reflects Betfred’s goal of expanding the Tote’s pool betting scope beyond horse racing. TotelFootball allows players to build their own team of players from the world’s top talent, then these teams compete against each other over a weekend set of fixtures, with the top 10% of teams sharing the prize pool. TotelFootball’s biz dev director Keith McDonnell said working with Totepool.com “we can quickly drive liquidity which will transform an already great game into an attractive betting proposition offering high returns.”
UK online gambling operator Bet365 has added seven titles from games developer Sheriff Gaming’s 3D portfolio to its offering, including Goldraider, French Cuisine and The Amsterdam Masterplan. Meanwhile, the Netherlands-based Sheriff has announced plans to bring its online titles to both mobile and land-based players. The mobile division will be known as SMART and will feature a mix of existing and new titles powered by HTML5 and playable on both iOS and Android devices. Sheriff’s Eric Roskamp said the entire games portfolio will be made available to land-based casino owners and slot machine producers, and the whole shebang will be on display at ICE 2013 this Feb. 5-7.
Gaming technology outfit OpenBet Technologies Ltd. has inked a multi-year pact to supply UK bookie William Hill with its Promote retail betting content display software. The deal will allow Hills shops to offer promotions tailored to appeal to each shop’s customer type variations and preferred events. The PC-based Promote software supports up to 255 separate displays. Hills’ UK and international retail director James Henderson said Promote would allow it to “keep making the offer more interesting for customers.”
UK-licensed online bookie 10Bet will be the first to launch sports betting software provider SBTech’s HTML5 mobile sports betting platform. The platform, which is fully compatible with iOS and Android devices, will offer players access to 8k monthly events. It also features banking and transaction options, allowing players to deposit and withdraw via the app.
Stockholm-based NYX Interactive has teamed up with Swedish state-owned betting operator Svenska Spel for the launch of NYX Generation bingo. The new bingo product utilizes the NYX Instant Constant Asset Management (NYXicam) system, which allows operators to tailor solutions for specific markets. Svenska Spel product director Jonas Nygren said the system’s additional features and functionality allowed it “to update game types, jackpot variations and ticket prices with just a few clicks.”
