Online bookmaker SkyBet has today launched scorecast betting on its mobile platform – where a single bet is placed on the first goalscorer and correct score of a match.
In a press release, the company who are based in Leeds, England, said the release of the mobile platform was “in response to overwhelming demand from its customers”.
The firm who is one of only two bookmakers whose mobile platform has the capability to offer scorecast betting in the UK, worked with Swedish company Mobenga, developmers of mobile sportsbooks, to develop the feature.
Sky Bet’s Sportsbook Mobile Product Manager, Ben Kamara, said: “The ability to place scorecast bets quickly and easily on mobile was at the very top of our customers’ wish list so we’re pleased to have the new feature in place ahead of the busy Christmas schedule.”
Scorecast betting is one of a number of recent enhancements to Sky Bet’s mobile betting platform, which has seen substantial growth over the last six months. 30% of all bets struck with the firm are now being placed via that channel.
Online bingo group, 32Red Bingo , has reported that there has been an “overwhelming response” to its Festive Giveaway promotion amongst its online gamers.
A spokesman for the company announced the news, while taking the opportunity (of course) to plug the promotion further, which is running up until the 6 January 2012. He said: “Having only released the Big Festive Giveaway promotion last week, everyone here at 32Red Bingo has been amazed by the initial response to the game. It seems our customers are really eager to take part and claim these fantastic prizes on offer.”
32Red said gamers on its site will have the chance to win 20 prizes ranging from £25 cash to a DKNY designer watch, and there is one main prize of a holiday voucher worth £500. It’s daily leader board can be viewed via the 32Red Bingo website, along with the overall leader board, which lists those players who have bought the most tickets since the promotion began. The player to finish highest on the overall leader board after the 20-day duration will win the holiday voucher.
