Caesars Entertainment’s new hotel-orientated arm has made one of its first moves into the international accommodation business with a deal to open premises in India. Caesars Global Life was established to develop branded luxury hotels to increase their presence in Asia and Latin America with a view to opening casinos in each location in the future. According to the press release, “Through Caesars Global Life, Caesars Entertainment will develop its non-gaming presence and build a range of luxury hotels in South Asia, with entertainment and retail as integral components.”
That certainly sounds like something Macau would be interested in as they are continually reiterating the fact that diversification is a must to safeguard the enclave’s future. Looks who’s learning the AC lesson!
After the deal was signed, Neera Chanani, South Asia Head of Caesars Entertainment Hospitality, said, “Caesars is a globally recognized iconic luxury brand and we are thrilled to bring the Caesars lifestyle to India. We see exciting opportunities across multiple sectors in India and look forward to partnering with world-class developers.”
In terms of where in India the company will be setting up, it’s likely to be focused on major top-tier cities or resort and holiday destinations in the country. Caesars is also on the verge of launching a new lifestyle brand to continue with their global push. Gary Loveman still seems content on treading the long road towards federal online poker regulation. It might be a lot like trying to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow though Gary. At least for now anyway.
