Bodog Baggies fans the best at predicting

West Brom celebrate victoryIf West Bromwich Albion fans didn’t have enough to cheer about with the Bodog sponsorship deal that was signed earlier this summer, they’ve now gained an impressive accolade. Baggies’ fans emerged as the best at predicting Premier League scorelines on a certain predictions games.

Fans of the West Midlands club finished top of the Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday Super 6 table and it means that supporters at the Hawthorn’s are most likely to claim the £200,000 double jackpot on offer this Saturday.

Super 6’s spokesman, Dale Tempest, commented: “The stats don’t lie! Baggies fans are the savviest in the land and have absolute bragging rights over their peers – there must be something in the water up in the West Midlands it seems. I think that the gauntlet has been thrown down for fans in London, Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle to up their game! And if West Brom fans use our Super 6 top tips for the season ahead, I’m sure they’ll be in a good position to keep hold of top spot by the time the 2011/12 season has finished.”

In order to win the prize, fans have to guess the scoreline of six games on that kick off at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. This weekend’s games are: Blackburn Rovers v Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fulham v Aston Villa, Liverpool v Sunderland, QPR v Bolton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur v Everton and Wigan Athletic v Norwich City.

Anyone thinking they can better the Baggies’ fans can try their hand at this link. It looks like it could be another season of Boing Boing Baggies Baggies in the predictions stakes though.
