Greek Poker Cup final tableThe PokerStars Greek Poker Cup concluded this weekend as local player Georgios Grigoropoulos took home the inaugural title in his home country. Played at the Club Hotel Casino Loutraki in Athens, there will have been free moussaka all round after the 23-year-old made sure that the trophy wouldn’t be leaving home soil just yet. It was never really in doubt seeing as only one of the final eight players was of a different nationality, Swedish player Daniel Carlsson. The Nordic player did go into the final day as the commanding chip leader but Grigoropoulos gradually chipped away at the lead before beating his opponent and taking home the prize of €69,100.

In other news, innovative online poker site PKR, became the latest company named as a customer of OpenBet.
