If you wondered why there’d been no mobile gaming news for a few hours then never fear – it’s back with a continental Europe feel. The renowned international designer, developer and licensor of software for the online, mobile, TV and land-based gaming industry, Playtech, has signed up to an agreement with mobile specialist Buongiorno.
Under the agreement, Playtech will provide Buongiorno with its casino platform so that it can be run on their popular Winga brand. Already offering casino and bingo, it will further expand their product range in the newly regulated Italian online market.
Buongiorno’s Chief Executive, Andrea Casalini, commented: “Buongiorno’s eGaming offering, Winga, is set to develop across two directions in the coming few months, once regulations allow. Firstly, via the expansion on our existing gaming offering, to include lotteries, casino games and more; this is where our casino agreement with Playtech will play a key part, enabling this exciting expansion to happen. Secondly, the provision of the Winga offering on the mobile channel, leveraging Buongiorno’s 10 years of experience in this sector.”
Meanwhile Playtech chief executive Mor Weizer, said: “We are very excited to partner with Buongiorno and to be able to offer its Italian players market leading casino content. Given Buongiorno’s historic mobile expertise, it is also an excellent opportunity to implement some unique technologies for the Italian market, as Playtech’s cross-platform capability fits very well with Buongiorno’s business model. We look forward to developing this relationship in the coming months.”
So after saying buongiorno to each other, both companies will be hoping it’s a long and prosperous deal in this still developing market.
