Three new stops for World Poker Tour, two more for WSOP-Circuit

world-poker-tour-wsopc-stopsShowing that it’s serious about that W in its name, the World Poker Tour (WPT) is adding three stops to its 2011 European swing. The WPT Venice €3k buy-in Main Event will run from Feb. 3-8 at the Casino de Venezia, with an additional High-Roller Event costing you €10k to take part. From there, it’s on to the WPT Vienna at the Montesino. The €3.2k buy-in Main Event will get underway March 25, and the (seriously) High-Roller €15k buy-in starting March 28. Saving the best for the last, the WPT National Series Paris kicks off Feb. 1 at the Aviation Club de France. The €5k buy-in EFOP Diamond Championship will run from Feb. 9-15, and the €10k buy-in High-Roller from Feb. 14-16.

Lest those in the peanut gallery start chanting “U-S-A! U-S-A!”, we’ll waste no more time in telling you that the World Series Of Poker Circuit (WSOP-C) has added two stops to its revitalized roster. Florida’s largest poker room, the Palm Beach Kennel Club, will be invaded by the WSOP-C hordes from Feb. 17 to March 1, the centerpiece of which will be the $1.5k Main Event. Moving north, Harrah’s in Chester, Pennsylvania will be Circuit city from April 28 to May 9. The two additions will mark the final events in the Circuit before the National Championship gets underway in Vegas on May 27, 2011.
