If you were going to sponsor a team competing in the MLS right now there’d probably be only one team you’d really want to bother with. We’re not talking about Canada’s current offering, with the rowdy fans and the packed stadium, Toronto FC, or the star-studded, Barcelona reunion club that’s currently engulfing the Generic Energy Drink Arena and the New York Red Bulls, of course the team being referred to are the LA (DB) Galaxy.
Maybe it’s apt then that the team currently looking to register their first playoff victory with David Beckham at the club, and first in five years, have signed an advertising deal with a company who are no strangers to successful football sides. Bodog.com is already the gaming partner of EPL, and reigning Europa League runner-up, Fulham, and the fantasy sports and free play poker specialists announced they signed an advertising agreement with the Galaxy.
The agreement will see ad placements on all LED field board, corner section banner, branding displayed on in-stadium TVs, ad spots on the stadium’s scoreboard, and they’ve even recruited Becks to dye his hair black and shave Bodog.net into the back of his head in red…well maybe we made the last one up, but the MLS will be seeing Bodog for the foreseeable future.
