CentreBet sponsors New South Wales Greyhound Breeders

Sydney-based, CentreBet International Limited, the Australian online gaming and wagering provider, has announced the signing of a three-year sponsorship deal with the New South Wales Greyhound Breeders, Owners and Trainers Association.

It’s a breakthrough for Centrebet and a little out of the ordinary for an Australian racing outfit to be doing sponsorship business with an entity other than Tab Corp. It’s all part of the company’s strategy to grow it’s presence and double it’s market share by the year 2015.

The sponsorship agreement will see CentreBet provided race naming and promotions at the Wentworth Park, Bathurst, Bulli, Gosford, Lismore, Maitland, Appin Way, Gunnedah and Temora tracks in addition to its sponsorship of major feature events including, the Golden Easter Egg carnival.

Chief Executive Officer for the New South Wales Greyhound Breeders, Owners and Trainers Association, Brenton Scott said in the release, “We are thrilled to be forming this relationship and are certain that it will expose our racing product to a wider audience across the total wagering market…CentreBet has an extremely strong profile in the wagering sector and we look forward to working with it in a mutually beneficial manner for the overall benefit of greyhound racing.”

Neil Evans, Public and Media Relations Manager for CentreBet said, “This is a watershed and pro-active partnership that will give greyhound racing the boost it so richly deserves”.
