Australia’s ABC News reported that Joseph Wong Kiia Tai, an Indonesian arms dealer who should not have been allowed to travel, allegedly gambled in two Crown-branded casinos. Kiia Tai has reportedly arranged for thousands of weapons to be delivered to Liberian President Charles Taylor’s forces, landing him on a United Nations (UN) sanctions list. The arms dealer reportedly wagered $6 million at the Crown Melbourne and Crown Perth on separate occasions between 2004-2015.
