Chicago resident Michael Frontier is facing 14 charges for a list of offenses that include money laundering and operating an illegal sportsbook from the Central American country of Costa Rica. The 35-year-old man was indicted for opening gambling accounts for individuals from 2010-2016. In connection with his illegal gambling operation, he is looking at five counts of money laundering, one count of conducting an illegal gambling business, five counts of making a false statement in a bankruptcy case, two counts of bankruptcy fraud and one count of making a false declaration to a U.S. Bankruptcy Court. It is estimated that his sentences would keep Frontier behind bars for the next 30 to 40 years.
