The Story
The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) had imposed a £300k settlement package on Casino 36 in Wolverhampton casino for failing to comply with anti-money laundering and social responsibility obligations. The UKGC found that Casino 36 allowed 33 customers between November 2017 and October 2018 to gamble “significant sums of money” without the needed checks. Aside from that, the casino also failed to identify and interact with customers showing signs of problem gambling behavior.
