The Story

Thai local police have started their crackdown on over 1,000 women—popularly known as ‘web pretties’—who were allegedly promoting illegal online betting sites to their followers on social media.

The women promoted the sites by showing off parts of their bodies.

The move of the police followed reports that these web pretties have been writing the domains of online gambling sites on their cleavage or other body regions, then posting photos or videos on their social media accounts. A wink wouldn’t be enough to get these women out of the charges the police are bent on pressing against them. If found guilty, their pretty faces could face up to one year in prison for promoting illegal gambling.
