Roger Ver—who people refer to as the “Bitcoin Jesus”—said that it is only a matter of time for bitcoin to be used widely by the masses as money.

“If you have two forms of money, one that’s incredibly useful and fast and easy to send and receive and you don’t have to beg for permission to be able to use and you have traditional legacy forms of money where you have to ask politicians for permission to use and your accounts can be frozen, it’s clear which one people are going to start to use,” Ver told Bloomberg TV.

Despite being a new coin in the market, Ver said that Bitcoin Cas is “much more in line with the original version of Bitcoin” and that you can “move it faster and cheaper than any of the other ones in the world.”

Existing for just seven weeks, the Bitcoin Cash network has been growing steadily () thanks to supporters who rally and build infrastructure around the protocol. At the time of writing, over 8,000 blocks have been processed since the blockchain split, and the Bitcoin Cash chain is 1,200 blocks ahead of the legacy chain. It is currently 13.5 percent more profitable to mine BTC.
